A Notary Public is an officer authorized to certify documents, administer oaths and take affidavits. Mr. Lewis is currently serving in his third 8-year term as a Notary Public commissioned by the Governor of Indiana to make sure that people signing important paperwork are who they say they are and that he or she understands the nature and truthfulness of the document being notarized. Also, it's becoming more common that notaries working at your local bank will not notarize certain documents.

Although rare, we reserve the right to refuse to notarize any document for any reason.

A Notary Public is a trusted, impartial public official. It is important that a Notary keeps up to date in changes in the law and practice. At Lewis Legal, it's a priority.
